News Oscar Hammerstein III Will Host Rodgers & Hammerstein Celebration Oscar "Andy" Hammerstein III, grandson of the late Oscar Hammerstein II, will host two performances of Rodgers & Hammerstein Celebration for the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

The presentations will be held Aug. 16 at 2 PM at the Brooklyn Public Library at Kensington and Sept. 13 at 1:30 PM at Brooklyn Public Library at Kings Highway.

The afternoon performances will feature soprano Teri Dale Hansen (Show Boat, The Boys from Syracuse) and will include the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein as well as stories about their musical theatre collaborations. Among their most famous works are Carousel, The King and I, The Sound of Music, South Pacific and Oklahoma!

Oscar "Andy" Hammerstein III's book, "The Hammersteins a Musical Theatre Family," along with Hansen's CD, "Into You Arms...the Love Songs of Richard Rodgers," will also be available for purchase.
