News Paice, Kreeger, Diaz, Scott and Altar Boyz Cast to Perform at TRU Love Benefit Producer Ken Davenport and Arlene Romoff (of the Hearing Loss Association of New Jersey) will be honored at the seventh annual TRU (Theater Resources Limited) Love Benefit, which will be held Nov. 9 at Caroline's on Broadway.

Presented by Theater Resources Unlimited in association with sponsors Theatrical Rights Worldwide, Elysabeth Kleinhans, C2 - Caption Coalition and the Players Theatre, the afternoon will begin at noon with a cocktail reception, followed by lunch at 1 PM and the entertainment and awards ceremony at 1:45 PM. Altar Boyz producer Davenport will be presented with the 2008 Tru Spirit of Theater Award, which is given to an individual in the theatre community who is "generous, supportive and inspiring." Davenport is being honored for his "dedication to and belief in the possibilities of Off-Broadway and theatre in general, as well as his use of new producing models and innovative technology to breathe new life into the business of theatre," according to a press statement.

Romoff will be honored with the Humanitarian Award for her work "to bring open captioned performances to live theare, making theatre accessible for people with hearing loss."

Among those scheduled to perform at the upcoming event, which is themed "Believe. . . in the possibilities of theatre," are the cast of Altar Boyz, accompanied by Gary Adler; Jill Paice and Matthew Scott, who will offer a tune from Ace; and Natascia Diaz and Doug Kreeger, who will sing a tune from Paul Scott Goodman's Rooms. Attendees will also be treated to a song from Jason Robert Brown's 13 and monologues from My First Time.
