Based on Patrick Dennis' novel Auntie Mame, the Tony-winning musical features a score by Herman and a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. The show centers on an inspirational freethinker who refuses to live by the rules of 1920s society. When she takes on the rearing of her ten-year-old orphaned nephew Patrick, she turns his life into one wild adventure after another. Along the way, she shows him how to celebrate life and live each moment to the fullest.

Mame is the perfect remedy for today's problems. The timeless musical offers audiences both a message about tolerance and the opportunity to laugh while enjoying the classic music and glamorous production numbers,” said Bill Hanney, NSMT owner and producer. “Musical theatre is a form of celebration and the character of Mame is the queen of celebration. I am so happy to have Paige Davis on board to bring this legendary character to life.”

The production also has scenic design by Kyle Dixon, original costume design by Gregg Barnes, costume coordination by Paula Peasley-Ninestein, lighting design by Kirk Bookman, sound design by Don Hanna, and wig and hair design by Gerard Kelly. The production stage manager is Natalie A. Lynch, the assistant stage manager is Dakotah Wiley Horan, and the assistant music director is Luke Flood.

Mame was cast by Matthew Chappell and is produced for North Shore Music Theatre by owner-producer Hanney, Producing Artistic Director Kevin P. Hill, and associate producer Tom Amos.
