Throughout the remainder of this month, Palminteri will perform a 7 PM performance Sunday evenings at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Other show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

Beginning in January 2008 and continuing through the end of the run (Feb. 10), A Bronx Tale will play Tuesday-Saturday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

The one-man show — which the actor performed in Los Angeles and Off-Broadway in the late '80s that inspired the 1993 film of the same name — began previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre Oct. 4 and officially opened Oct. 25.

Go Productions, in association with Jujamcyn Theaters, produces the New York run, which is directed by Tony winner Jerry Zaks. The show was one of the many darkened by the recent stagehands strike.

In the semi-autobiographical solo show, Palminteri plays 18 roles that depict "a rough childhood on Bronx streets populated by a cast of friends and enemies," according to press notes. The design team comprises Paul Gallo (lighting design), James Noone (set design) and John Gromada (original music and sound design). Palminteri's wardrobe is provided by Italian menswear designer ISAIA.

The 1993 film "A Bronx Tale" was directed by Robert De Niro. The film featured Palminteri and De Niro as well as Lillo Brancato, Francis Capra, Taral Hicks, Kathrine Narducci and Joe Pesci.

About the film, Palminteri told Variety, "Over the years I've done over 50 movies, but everybody comes over to me and talks to me about 'Bronx Tale.' I walk down the street, I have people yelling lines from the movie at me. It's bigger than me."

Palminteri has also been seen on screen in "The Usual Suspects" and "Bullets Over Broadway"; he received an Academy Award nomination for his work in the latter. His last New York stage appearance was in the 2002 Al Pacino production of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui.
