On Oct. 5 Burns heads into the studio to begin recording vocals for her PS Classics CD. Tommy Krasker, the co-founder of PS Classics, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, is producing the recording, which is scheduled for an early 2007 release. Burns' recording will feature some tunes from her recent sold-out performance at the Metropolitan Room. Producer Krasker told Playbill.com, "The live performance served as a foundation for this recording, but as always, we’re rethinking and reshaping things for CD, because it’s just a different listening experience. Andréa’s so extraordinarily versatile, we’re looking to capture the full range of her soulfulness, warmth, humor and power."

Andréa Burns has been seen on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast and The Full Monty and Off-Broadway in Saturday Night, Sail Away! and Songs for a New World. She starred in the national tours of Parade (National Broadway Award Best Actress nomination) and The Full Monty, and her regional credits include Sunday in the Park with George (Joseph Jefferson Award nomination), 1776, Oklahoma!, Evita and West Side Story.
