Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin will join celebrated downtown artist Taylor Mac for an upcoming benefit for the TEAM.

The Theatre of the Emerging American Moment (TEAM) is dedicated to dissecting and celebrating the experience of living in America today. Patinkin and Ethyl Eichelberger Award-winning performance artist Taylor Mac will perform together as part of TEAM's April 18 benefit.

The evening will also highlight a preview of TEAM's latest piece, Architecting, which is described as "a new American saga about the reconstruction of nations and selves." The work is presented as a co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland and Performance Space 122, where it will play later in 2008.

The upcoming benefit evening begins with cocktails and light food at 6:30 PM, followed by performances at 7:30 PM and music and dancing to conclude the evening. Architecting – The Benefit will take place at the 3LD Art and Technology Center, located at 80 Greenwich Street in Manhattan.

Mandy Patinkin earned the 1980 Tony Award for Evita. He has appeared in the Broadway productions of Sunday in the Park with George, The Secret Garden, The Wild Party, Falsettos, and several of his own concert engagements. His screen work includes "The Princess Bride," "Ragtime," "Yentl," and "Chicago Hope."

Performance artist, actor and playwright Taylor Mac is a 2005 Ethyl Eichelberger Award winner. His works include The Young Ladies Of, Peace, Red Tide Blooming, and The Be(a)st of Taylor Mac. Mac has also appeared in the premiere New York production of Elizabeth Swados' Jabu, as well as productions of Hamlet, The Little Foxes, Assassins and Beach Blanket Babylon.
