Hosted by Michael Lankester, "A Shakespearean Tribute to Peter Hall" will feature Lankester's live interview with the famed director as well as special guest appearances by several Hall acquaintances. Those scheduled to take part in the event include Patrick Stewart, Rosemary Harris, John Guare, Vanessa Redgrave, Jeffrey Horowitz and Tony Walton. The aforementioned will offer small readings and/or personal reminiscences of their time spent working with Hall. The evening begins at 6:30 PM. Sir Peter Hall created the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1960. He became director of the Royal National Theatre in 1973, spending 15 years with the company. On Broadway, his directorial credits include Amadeus, An Ideal Husband, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, The Merchant of Venus, Orpheus Descending, Wild Honey, The Petition, Betrayal, Bedroom Farce, No Man's Land, The Misanthrope, As You Like It and Via Galactica. Hall is the recipient of two Tony Awards, for the 1967 production of The Homecoming and the original production of Amadeus. Hall was presented with an Olivier Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1999.
