Pearl resident acting company members Rachel Botchan, Bradford Cover, Dominic Cuskern, Robert Hock and Edward Seamon will perform with guest actors Chris Mixon and Lee Stark.

Pearl artistic director J.R. Sullivan will direct The Sneeze, which will officially open Sept. 26 and run through Oct. 31. Among Chekhov's comic sketches included in the play are The Bear, The Evils of Tobacco, Swan Song, The Proposal and The Sneeze.

According to the Pearl, "Frayn's richly comic adaptation of the incomparable Chekhov's wild and witty vaudevillian vignettes, bounds across town and country, past rich and poor, with an improbable duel, a mismanaged marriage proposal, and, of course, a life-shattering sneeze along the way."

The Sneeze design team includes Jo Winiarski (scenic designer), Barbara A. Bell (costume designer) Ann Wrightson (lighting designer) and Jane Shaw (sound designer).

Frayn earned a Tony Award for his 2000 play Copenhagen. His plays also include Noises Off, Wild Honey, Benefactors, Alphabetical Order, Democracy and Afterlife.
