News Perez, Ly, Solis and Jones Set for Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare on the Sound Casting has been announced for the Shakespeare on the Sound production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, featuring a score by Tony-winning Passing Strange creator Stew.

Under the new artistic direction of Joanna Settle (9 Parts of Desire, Public Theater's In Darfur), Shakespeare on the Sound presents free summer theatre along the Long Island Sound in Rowayton and Greenwich, CT parks.

Settle will direct Midsummer, which will run June 16-28 in Rowayton and July 4-12 in Greenwich.

The site-specific outdoor production will feature Jesse J. Perez (Puck/Philostrate), Doan Ly (Titania/Hippolyta), Mickey Solis (Oberon/Theseus), John Campion (Egeus), Gregory Wooddell (Demetrius), Marjan Neshat (Hermia), Albert Jones (Lysander), Gretchen Hall (Helena), Ty Jones (Bottom), Lindsay Smiling (Starveling/Oberon Goblin), Chivas Michael (Flute/Titania Fairy), Mike Caban (Snout/Titania Fairy), Benjamin Huber (Peter Quince/Titania Fairy), Daniel O'Neill (Snug/Oberon Goblin), Lili De’Rossi (Titania Fairy), Alexa Salamé (Titania Fairy), and Alessandro Chillé (Oberon Goblin).

Stew, who earned a Tony Award for the book to Passing Strange (in which he also starred and penned the music), will create an original score for the play. The production will also feature choreography by David Neumann, set design by Andrew Lieberman, sound design by Obadiah Eaves, lighting design by Adam Silverman and costume design by Ilona Somogyi.
