The deathless Off-Broadway revue, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, now in its sixth year at the Westside Theatre, welcomed back early cast member Danny Burstein April 12. Burstein replaced the departing Darrin Baker.

It was Oct. 1, 1996, when Burstein first stepped on the Westside stage. Since leaving the show in 1997, he's appeared in A Class Act, Titanic and Psych, among other shows.

Currently in the cast are Adam Hunter and Karyn Quackenbush. Janet Metz will climb on board April 22, taking the place of Marylee Graffeo.

Love/Perfect/Change is the longest-running musical revue in Off-Broadway history, its performance count besting former title-holder Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

Joe DiPietro (book and lyrics) and Jimmy Roberts (composer) have had success with the show throughout the world, in more than 150 stagings. DiPietro's other projects include Over the River and Through the Woods and a revised version of the Gershwin tuner Oh, Kay!, titled They All Laughed Joel Bishoff directs the New York staging, which one critic famously regarded as being like "Seinfeld" set to music.
