Comedian-magician Derek Hughes has returned to Dixon Place with Necromance: A Night of Conjuration Sept. 29-Oct. 30, officially opening Oct. 4. Actor- director Chris Bayes directs. Named for necromancy, the art of communicating with unseen forces and conjuring spirits and powers, Necromance tells stories with humor and magic, while asking the question "What keeps us from not believing in magic -- or ourselves?" Hughes' other works include Circular Ruins, Two Chairs Telling, Conjuring Cubans, Spine: Stripped Bare and Frankenstein.
