Eight of the original cast members from the 1996 production reunite for the engagement that will run through May 22. It is the third time Peter and Wendy has played the New Victory.

Kandel recounts the story as the Narrator and also embodies Wendy, while Twist (Addams Family, Arias with a Twist, Petrushka) inhabits a series of puppets.

"I love that style of puppetry. I think it's really magical," Twist previously told, when describing Japanese bunraku puppets, traditionally manipulated by three puppeteers, which are used to create such familiar characters as Peter, Wendy and Captain Hook.

Lee Breuer directs the production, which has set, puppet and lighting design by Julie Archer, with associate light design by Steven L. Shelley and fight direction by B.H. Barry. Costumes are by Sally Thomas and sound is designed by Edward Cosla.

The puppetry team includes Lindsay Abromaitis-Smith, Sam Hack, Jenny Subjack Piezas, Sarah Provost, Jessica Chandlee Smith, Jessica Scott and Amanda Villalobos.

Johnny Cunningham composed the original music, which is performed by Aidan Brennan, Tola Custy, Stepha Geremia, Alan Kelly, Laoise Kelly, Siobhan Miller and Jay Peck.

Peter and Wendy debuted in 1996 at the Spoleto Festival USA. It has toured the U.S. regionally since then, with international theatre festival stops in Dublin and Edinburgh.
