George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who created the very popular Honk (a modern musical based on the Ugly Duckling story) have now written a musical version of Sir James Barrie's classic children's story, "Peter Pan."
Booking has now opened for Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure, by Stiles and Drewe with a book by Willis Hall. The musical will be staged at the Royal Festival Hall for 32 performances only from Dec. 19 to Jan. 12, 2003.
Casting has not yet been finalized, but the Royal Philharmonic will provide the music, and the show's director will be Ian Talbot, artistic director of the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, whose production of Oh, What a Lovely War, which opened July 25, has been very well received by critics.
