News PHOTO CALL: Armstrong's Acclaimed One-Man Shylock Arrives in NYC Shylock, the hit one-man show by Gareth Armstrong, has finally reached New York City after gaining popularity across the globe.

The piece, narrated by Tubal (a minor character in Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice), "explores with both humor and sadness [The Merchant of Venice], its performance history, and the legacy of racial and religious intolerance." Below, Peter Breger, Armstrong, Richard Jordan and Joe Trentacosta are seen at the opening night party at Dublin Restaurant on Hudson and Bank Streets in New York City.

Shylock is playing at the just re-opened Perry Street Theatre.
