The Broadway production began previews Nov. 21, 2013, prior to an official opening Jan. 12 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Jessie Mueller stars as Grammy-winning singer-songwriter King.
Beautiful features a book by Academy Award nominee Douglas McGrath, who collaborated with Woody Allen on the screenplay for "Bullets Over Broadway." He also penned "Infamous" and "Emma."
Marc Bruni (Pipe Dream, Ordinary Days, Old Jews Telling Jokes) stages the production with choreography by Josh Prince and musical direction by Jason Howland.
The cast also features Scott J. Campbell as Gerry Goffin, Tony Award-nominees Anika Larsen and Jarrod Spector as Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, Jeb Brown as Don Kirshner and Tony Award-nominee Liz Larsen as Genie Klein.
