Gray Line New York's Ride of Fame campaign recognizes and honors leading New Yorkers and iconic New York establishments, whom they identify as "exemplary community figures and entities by bestowing a bus in their fleet to each dedicatee." This is the first occasion where two celebrities are inducted onto one bus.

"I am delighted and thrilled that Mary and I are being inducted into Gray Line New York's Ride of Fame Campaign. When we first started Broadway Barks 14 years ago, it was a way to educate the public about the thousands of NYC's homeless animals in peril and in need," said Peters in a statement. “Now Broadway Barks has become a destination. People travel from across the country to attend our annual event. It’s remarkable! Having Gray Line New York recognize our mission only helps to enhance our message to New Yorkers and all of its tourists, 'adopt a shelter animal'."

"How wonderful is it to have two legendary New Yorkers joining us on the Ride of Fame campaign together," added David W. Chien, director of Marketing for Gray Line New York. "We are certainly honored to share this special moment with the world, as well as bringing the attention to Broadway Barks." The dedication included the revealing of Peters and Moore’s signature, open-top, red double-decker bus that millions of sightseers will be able to "ride" each day moving forward.

Past honorees include Liza Minnelli, Donald Trump, Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Dreyfuss, Rachael Ray, New York Ranger, Henrik Lundqvist, Cyndi Lauper, Marc Anthony, Kenneth Cole and New York Yankee, Reggie Jackson.
