News PHOTO CALL: Billy Elliot Celebrates 1000th Performance on Broadway The Tony Award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical celebrated its 1000th performance on Broadway April 8. The cast marked the occasion with a curtain speech, celebratory buttons and a champagne and cake party.

Billy Elliot the Musical, according to press notes, is the "joyous celebration of one boy’s journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising talent that inspires his family and his whole community and changes his life forever."

The cast is currently headed by Jacob Clemente, Joseph Harrington, Alex Ko and Peter Mazurowski, who rotate in the title role, with Emily Skinner as Mrs. Wilkinson, Gregory Jbara as Dad, Carole Shelley as Grandma, Will Chase as Tony and Cameron Clifford and Neil McCaffrey as Michael.
