Directed by Eric Schaeffer, the Kennedy Center's production of Sunday in the Park with George begins previews on May 31. Part of the famed Center's Sondheim Celebration, the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine casts Raul Esparza as painter George Seurat and Melissa Errico as his mistress, Dot. Loosely based on the life of Seurat and his painting "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte," the musical features such Sondheim tunes as "Finishing the Hat," "Move On" and "Putting It Together." Pictured is a photo of the set for the production, which was designed by Derek McLane.
