Victoria Clark, Donna Murphy, Victor Garber and Michael McGrath headed the cast of the City Center Encores! production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies. Casey Nicholaw provided direction and choreography.
The classic musical — set in 1971 at a party on the stage of the deteriorating Weismann Theatre — was the first show of the Encores! season. Clark portrayed Sally Durant Plummer with Murphy as Phyllis Stone, Garber as Benjamin Stone and McGrath as Buddy Plummer.
