Penned by David Lindsay-Abaire (Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Shrek), this new staging by associate artistic director Rob Ruggiero is a co-production with the Pittsburgh Public Theater. The critically lauded work is described in press notes as a "heartfelt, rich and funny journey through grief that reminds us of the human spirit's ability to heal and get back to the business of living."

The cast is led by Erika Rolfsrud and Dylan Chalfy as Becca and Howard Corbett, the central couple that seems to "have everything they could want in life until fate shatters their idyllic home and leaves them drifting apart."

Rolfsrud understudied this role - played by Cynthia Nixon - in the original Broadway company and was most recently seen in Lincoln Center Theatre's epic three-part The Coast of Utopia.

Chalfy's Broadway credits include the acclaimed Lincoln Center revival of Ah, Wilderness! and Circle in the Square's The Rose Tattoo opposite Mercedes Ruehl. Fans of the HBO prison drama "OZ" may remember his brief but memorable turn as the hot-headed inmate Patrick Keenan.

Rounding out the cast are Joey Parsons (Disorderly Conduct) as Izzy, Jo Twiss (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Ashley Judd) as Nat and Alec Silberblatt making his professional debut as teenager Jason.

TheaterWorks is located at 233 Pearl Street in downtown Hartford. For more information and tickets, call (860) 527-7838 or visit www.theaterworkshartford.org.
