Musical theatre legend John Raitt visited Karen Ziemba and Brent Barrett at the Encores! rehearsal for The Pajama Game April 29. Barrett is playing Sid, the role Raitt originated on Broadway in 1954.

The Pajama Game, playing City Center May 2-6, is a musical comedy love story set in a pajama factory, where the new foreman is trying to get his bearings in his new position while his workers threaten a strike for a 7 and 1/2 cent pay raise. The Adler and Ross score includes "Hey There," "Hernando's Hideaway" and "Steam Heat," famously choreographed by Bob Fosse in the original production.
