Dorothy's got a ruby red dress, but what about her slippers? Kate Jennings Grant stars as war bride Dorothy in Summer of '42, written by Composer-lyricist David Kirshenbaum and librettist Hunter Foster (Urinetown). Based on the Herman Raucher film and novel, Summer of '42 stars Kate Jennings Grant as Maine war bride Dorothy, who teaches 15-year-old Hermie (newcomer Driscoll) a bittersweet lesson in love. Composer-lyricist David Kirshenbaum and librettist Hunter Foster (Urinetown) wrote the musical, previously seen at the Goodspeed and Ohio's Victoria Theatre before landing at Off-Broadway's Variety Arts Theatre.
