News PHOTO CALL: London's Wicked Gets a New Star On January 1, 2007, Kerry Ellis - who has previously appeared on the British stage in Les Misérables, Miss Saigon and the original company of We Will Rock You - will join the West End production of Wicked as the musical's first English Elphaba.

Ellis will replace Idina Menzel, who originated the role in the West End as she did on Broadway. Ellis will join current cast members Helen Dallimore as Glinda, Adam Garcia as Fiyero, Miriam Margolyes as Madame Morrible and Nigel Planer as The Wizard.
