Laura Linney got an Oscar nomination for Kenneth Lonergan's film, "You Can Count On Me," and so did he. The Producers' Matthew Broderick just got a plum role in that movie, but he still turned up for the May 10 reopening of Lonergan's Lobby Hero at the John Houseman Theatre.
Fresh from a sold-out run at Playwrights Horizons, Lobby Hero tells of a young, directionless lobby guard (Fitzgerald) facing issues of truth, loyalty, morality and self in a New York apartment building lobby. He spars with his boss (Graham), a cocky veteran cop (Donovan) and his sexy rookie partner (Burns). All four are on edge in the wake a murder.
