A cold winter's night couldn't keep playwright Charles Busch from making it to the opening night performance of Medea on Broadway, Dec. 10.

After a brief stint at Brooklyn Academy of Music and a mini-tour of the U.S., Euripedes' Medea returns to New York City to play Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Fiona Shaw stars as the spurned title character who goes to great - and bloody - lengths to take revenge on her husband Jason (Jonathan Cake). Deborah Warner directs the classic Greek tragedy, which began life at Dublin's Abbey Theatre before transferring to the West End where it won two Evening Standard Awards.
