Michael and Laura Joplin, siblings of Sixties icon Janis, attended the April 22 opening night performance of Love, Janis, based on a series of letters their sister wrote home. The piece was actually Laura's idea, who took the missives to Randal Myler, hoping to pitch a play to the writer-director. He bit and Love, Janis is the result.
