News PHOTO CALL: New Chicago Star Huey Lewis Spreads Good Cheer with Kick-Off of Holiday Angels Joy Drive Huey Lewis, the effervescent frontman of the rock group “Huey Lewis and the News,” used his new role as Broadway leading man to help Starbucks Coffee kick off its holiday season with the beginning of the 6th annual Holiday Angels Joy Drive on Nov. 10.

Lewis—who is currently appearing as smooth-talker Billy Flynn in the long-running hit Chicago—was on hand to help spread the word about the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation. Those who wish can donate gifts for seriously ill children served by the foundation at all Starbucks retail locations in the New York metro area through Dec. 25. Donated toys and books will be delivered to Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation locations for distribution to local hospitals, or delivered directly to local hospitals that are a part of Starlight Starbright’s network of medical facilities in North America. Below, Lewis, who is seen with Chicago cast members Solange Sandy, Bryn Dowling, Donna Marie Asbury and Michelle Potterf, reads “Pooch on the Loose” (by Steven Kroll, with illustrations by Michael Garland) to a group of children at the Starbucks on 51st Street and Broadway in New York City to kick-off the Holiday Angels Joy Drive.
