News PHOTO CALL: O'Brien, Meehan, Other Creatives Dig Into Giant Hairspray Cake at 1,000th Show The creative team behind the wildly popular Broadway musical Hairspray were on hand to indulge in an appropriately over-the-top cake to celebrate the production's 1,000th performance at the Neil Simon Theatre.

At left are producer Mark O'Donnell, lyricist Scott Wittman, choreographer Jerry Mitchell, director Jack O'Brien, producer Margo Lion, book writer Tom Meehan, set designer David Rockwell, and producer Tom Viertel. The production reached the milestone on Jan. 11.
