Egan has taken to the stage as Max several times before, serving as one of the understudies for the demanding role. Later this year audiences across America will be able to see the Broadway veteran on the silver screen in the film adaptation of the Tony-winning Mel Brooks musical. At left, costume designer William Ivey Long and current “Ulla” Angie Schworer are seen schmoozing after Egan’s official opening night performance. Below, Jai Rodriguez – who will join the show Nov. 1 as Carmen Ghia – celebrates alongside Egan and co-stars Hunter Foster and Gary Beach at a welcoming party for the new actors, hosted by Angus McIndoe Restaurant on West 44th Street in New York City.
