News PHOTO CALL: Opening of New Off-Broadway Musical, Falling for Eve Falling for Eve, a new musical by 2010 Tony winner Joe DiPietro, Bret Simmons and David Howard, officially opened at Off-Broadway's York Theatre Company July 15 following previews that began July 6.

Larry Raben directed the new musical, which will continue through Aug. 8. The cast features Jennifer Blood, Krystal Joy Brown, Nehal Joshi, Adam Kantor, Jose Llana and Sasha Sloan.

Memphis' DiPietro authored the book to the musical (once called Me & Eve) with a score by Bret Simmons (music) and David Howard (lyrics). Falling for Eve, according to York notes, "offers an enchanting second look at the world's first love story. Creation is going perfectly. Eve, curious about what lies beyond the Garden of Eden, and obsessed with the notion that something is forbidden, bites the infamous apple. Then Adam doesn't. How exactly they'll get together to create the human race is anybody's guess."
