Broadway's Orfeh, with guitarist Josh Kessler, sings "Alive," a number from the upcoming three-day September 11th memorial play and song series, Brave New World. John Patrick Shanley, known for his play Cellini, wrote the song "Alive" with Daniel Harnett for the event.

A handful of the more than 150 theatre artists who will come together for Brave New World—a three-day benefit performance at Town Hall designed to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Sept. 11—gathered at a Chelsea studio space Aug. 1 to offer a selection of the volumes of material which will be presented next month. Cynthia Nixon, Rosie Perez and Kristin Davis also performed at the preview event.
