Joining Grisetti (Broadway Bound, Enter Laughing) as Wilmer, Mauzey (Wicked, Cry-Baby) as Selma and Pariseau (Legally Blonde) as O.O. Martinas are Dylan Boyd, Katie Chung (Bunty Berman Presents), Sam Tanabe (Hello, Dolly!), Daniel Lynn Evans, Tracie Franklin (Futurology), Katie Hagen and Daniel May.

Red Eye of Love, according to press notes, "is a mad-cap musical love triangle that pits a young, forthright idealist against a wealthy, jaded materialist whose department store sells just one product: meat. They compete for the girl they love in a mythic New York City, against a background of 20th Century Boom Time, War and Depression."

Amas Musical Theatre in association with North Haven Arts and Enrichment present Red Eye of Love, which began performances Aug. 27 for a run through Sept. 28. "If ever a musical could be said to be passionately absurd, romantically surreal, and quintessentially American, all at the same time, it's Red Eye of Love," stated Amas artistic producer Donna Trinkoff. "This is a primal, comic tug-of-war between the '1%' and everyone else that tells a 'tale of two cities' that couldn’t be more perfectly timed or better humored."

Other members of the creative team include Martha Bromelmeier (costume design), Matthew Richards (lighting design), David Wilson (projection design), Lainie Sakakura and Alex Sanchez (choreographers), Greg Jarrett (music director), Joel Elins (production stage manager) and Kate Kavett (assistant stage manager).

Red Eye of Love began life as a straight play by Arnold Weinstein at The Living Theatre in 1961 and earned John Wulp an Obie Award as Best Director. Noted artist Indiana contributed his set designs in 1998 when Wulp restaged the original play in Maine. It is these designs that are used in the current musical production of the play. Weinstein and Wulp began collaboration on a musical version, completing the book and lyrics just before Weinstein's death in 2005. Wulp and director Ted Sperling, whose production of The Other Josh Cohen for Amas in 2012 earned six Drama Desk Award nominations, brought composer Davis aboard last year to complete the creative team.

Dicapo Opera Theatre is located at 184 East 76th Street at Lexington Avenue. For more information and tickets, call (212) 868-4444 or visit AmasMusical.org.
