Isn't it rich? Celebrating Tom Selleck's 100th performance in A Thousand Clowns since the revival kicked off in Boston this spring are The Dinner Party's Penny Fuller and Len Cariou (who, incidentally, was the first man to have "Send in the Clowns" sung at him on Broadway), Annie Get Your Gun's Crystal Bernard and Renee Taylor, star of If You Ever Leave Me, I'm Going With You.
In A Thousand Clowns, Selleck stars as the iconoclastic, slovenly and free spirited Murray Burns. An unemployed TV writer, Burns struggles to raise his nephew Nick (Nicolas King) just the way he wants, without interference from his friends, neighbors and the pretty social worker (Sandra Markowitz) assigned to his case. A Thousand Clowns runs at the Longacre Theatre through Oct. 14.
