According to press materials, "The Brother/Sister Plays explore the struggles that arise when the quest for self-identity is at odds with community values."
All three installments — which includes In the Red and Brown Water, The Brothers Size and Marcus; Or the Secret of Sweet — feature fellow ensemble members Alana Arenas, K. Todd Freeman, and Ora Jones along with Phillip James Brannon, Rodrick Covington, Glenn Davis, Jeff Parker, Tamberla Perry and Jacqueline Williams.
The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
