News PHOTO CALL: Tea Opening Night The Pan Asian Reperatory Theatre's production of Velina Hasu Houston's Tea opened as part of the first annual National Asian American Theater Festival May 30.

The revival of Houston's 1987 play began performances May 26 at the West End Theatre and runs through June 17. The production features Ako, Akiko Hiroshima, Karen Tsen Lee, Jo Shui and Momo Yashima. Tina Chen directs. According to press materials, Tea is described as such: "Four women gather to remember a friend, Himiko, after she kills her abusive American husband and herself. Her friends, also war brides, meet at her house to drink tea, comb through Himiko's life and consider their own."
