The US Open Wheelchair Tennis Competition began on Thursday, September 5, and ends on Sunday, September 8. In the event, the top wheelchair athletes in the world will compete in six events—men’s singles, women’s singles, quad singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and quad doubles. Wheelchair tennis’ rules are the same as able-bodied tennis, except that the ball can bounce twice.
