The evening offered "a night of songs inspired by folk, rock, soul and blues… Join her for a reimagining of works from Janis Joplin, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin and more of the musical storytellers that have inspired Wicks on her journeys from coast to coast. It will be a night celebrating the spirit of the underdogs, survivors, troubadours, seekers, lovers and dreamers."
Wicks played the role of Elphaba in the Los Angeles company of Wicked — a role she reprised in the San Francisco company before making the leap to Broadway in 2011. Her other credits include Emma Carew in the 2013 Broadway revival of Jekyll & Hyde; The Blue Flower at Second Stage Theatre and at Boston's A.R.T; Carousel at Goodspeed Opera House; Pippin on tour and at Goodspeed; and the New York City Center Encores! production of Stairway to Paradise.
