Classic Arts News Photo Journal: Domingo and Chenoweth Celebrate Washington National Opera at 50 Tenor Plšcido Domingo and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth appeared in The Audition, an opera satire by Marvin Hamlisch, at the Washington National Opera's 50th-anniversary gala on March 19.
Also on hand were singers Anna Netrebko, Juan Diego Florez, Anja Kampe, Samuel Ramey, Alan Held, Paul Groves, and John Matz, as well as violinist Vadim Repin. Emmanuel Villaume and WNO music director Heinz Fricke conducted.

Supreme Court justices Stephen G. Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Antonin Scalia made cameos in The Audition, which was written for the occasion.
