Classic Arts News Photo Journal: The Royal Opera's Figaro David McVicar's new production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro opened at the Royal Opera on January 31. The production continues tonight and runs through February 25 before returning in June and July.
The opening-night cast included Erwin Schrott as Figaro, Miah Persson as Susanna, Jonathan Veira as Bartolo, Graciela Araya as Marcellina, Rinat Shaham as Cherubino, Gerald Finley as Count Almaviva, Philip Langridge as Don Basilio, and Dorothea R‹schmann as Countess Almaviva.

Music director Antonio Pappano is the conductor.

Designs are by Tanya McCallin; lighting is by Paule Constable.
