The presentation will be featured on a live Radio 3 and BBC 4 television broadcast.
Composer Harrison Birtwistle will present Boulez with a special statuette, and Peter Maxell Davies, who holds the title of master of the Queen's music, will introduce the ceremony.
David Ferguson, chair of the academy, said, "Beyond his distinction as a composer, Pierre Boulez has made his mark as a performer, a teacher, a researcher, and a writer. He has multiple claims on being one of today's most important musical figures."
