Tony Award-winning actress Tonya Pinkins and playwright Jim Lehrer serve as honorary chairs for the 7 PM gala that will honor artists who have contributed their work to Urban Stages over the past 25 years.
Honored artists include Tony nominee Trezana Beverly and Pulitzer Prize nominee Eisa Davis as well as Terence Archie, Tina Chen, Bruce Graham, Antoinette LaVecchia, Susan Louise O’Connor, Felix Pire, Paul Sparks, Roman Tatarowicz and Stanton Wood.
The gala evening includes entertainment, music, cocktails, a live auction and boat rides on the lake.
Urban Stages' mission is to discover, nurture and produce exceptional new works by artists of diverse cultural backgrounds. Works are culled from an open submission process and have gone onto enjoy lives regionally and internationally. Frances Hill is the founder and artistic director of Urban Stages.
