News Playbill.com Announces Staff Changes Playbill.com, the leading theatrical internet news site, has announced staff changes as the 2006-07 season begins.

Effective Oct. 23, Andrew Gans, a Playbill.com editor who has worked for the company since 1991, succeeded Robert Simonson as senior editor of Playbill.com, overseeing the editorial content of the theatrical website. Kenneth Jones, a Playbill.com editor and writer since 1998, is now managing editor, working with the many freelance writers who contribute to the website.

After nearly nine years with Playbill.com, eight of them as editor, Simonson decided to leave the world of daily theatre reporting to devote more time to other projects and interests. He will continue to provide selected content to the site—such as his longstanding "Theatre Week in Review" column, regular "Brief Encounter" Q&A features and theatre season overviews—while also pursuing book and television projects, as well as other writing assignments.

Playbill.com welcomes Zachary Pincus-Roth to its staff as a full-time staff writer beginning Oct. 30. Previously a reporter for Variety, Pincus-Roth's work has also been published in The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly and Newsday.

The Playbill.com staff also includes Andrew Ku (Playbill.com Director), Ernio Hernandez (Staff Writer), Greg Kalafatas (Photo Editor), Tim Leinhart (Playbill.com Club Manager), Amy Asch (Listings Editor) and Ari Ackerman (Director, Theatrical and Online Sales).

Philip S. Birsh is President and Publisher of Playbill/Playbill.com.
