News Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher Bringing WWI Story to Screen for Warner Bros. Jeffrey Hatcher, whose plays include Tuesdays With Morrie and Never Gonna Dance, has been tapped by Warner Bros. to write the screenplay for the new World War I film "Megiddo," according to Deadline.com.

The film, which is characterized as an adventure epic set against the Sinai Campaign during WWI, will be developed by Weimaraner Republic Pictures, with Lynn Harris and Matti Leshem producing.

Hatcher's screenplay is based on a treatment by Leshem.

Hatcher also penned the screenplays for "Mr. Holmes," directed by Bill Condon and starring Ian McKellen, as well as "Stage Beauty," based on his play.
