The Hollywood Reporter also says that veteran director James Burrows will direct the pilot of the series, which will star the previously announced Kathryn Hahn (Boeing-Boeing) and Kristen Johnston (The Women).
Produced by Sony, "Ab Fab," according to the industry paper, "revolves around neurotic fashion publicist Eddie (Kathryn Hahn) and her best friend, Patsy (Kristen Johnston), an outrageous fashion editor, who drive Eddie's sensible teen daughter, Saffron (Zosia Mamet), up the wall with their wild behavior."
Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley starred in the original British series.
Zosia Mamet's screen credits also include "Parallel Lives," "Colin Fitz," "Spartan," "The Unit," "War Wolves" and "Off the Ledge."
In related news, Burrows will also direct the comedy pilot "100 Questions for Charlotte Payne" for NBC.
