Sparks fly when a former drag queen and witness to the Stonewall riots is interviewed by a gay TV host who regards him as an historical relic in the New York City premiere of Where' Rose?, Aug. 13-Oct. 22, at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre in Greenwich Village.

Playwright Daniel Logan directs and acts in his comic drama, which has been seen in regional theatres. Sarah Bierstock, Jim Eigo and Brett Owen are also featured.

In Where's Rose?, Stephen, a former drag queen and veteran of the Stonewall riots, is appearing on the Gay Television Network to promote his new autobiography. Although more conservative since his days as "Rose," he's still too flamboyant for Raymond, the young interviewer who considers Stephen an embarrassing and irrelevant throwback.

Flash backs show events in Stephen's life and offer glimpses of the gay community of yesterday that helped pave the way for the future.

Logan is an author, playwright, actor and a professional psychic. He has written six books on the subject of psychic phenomena. He has appeared on "The Tonight Show," "The Late Show," "The Joan Rivers Show" and "The Phil Donahue Show." As a playwright, his work includes Dearest Cole: The Life and Times of Cole Porter, which has been produced regionally. Many years ago, Logan was the booking manager of the Duplex.

BGH Productions presents Where's Rose?, which has a scattered schedule at the Duplex, a stone's throw from Stonewall, site of a clashing between police and the gay community 30 years ago. Call ahead for exact performance days.

Tickets are $10 plus a two-drink minimum. For reservations, call (212) 255-5438.
