It will play a summer season at London's Garrick Theatre Aug. 18-29, as part of a national tour that kicks off at the Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds July 26, and continues to Bedford, Kettering, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh, Buxton, Leeds, Taunton and Great Torrington.

Written and performed by Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, this was the first of three family entertainments they have created, distilling all seven Harry Potter books into 70 minutes. They have also produced Potted Pirates and Potted Panto, the last of which was nominated for Best Entertainment in the Laurence Olivier Awards following its season at the Vaudeville Theatre at Christmas 2010.

Clarkson and Turner, known as Dan and Jeff, have appeared as storytellers on TV's "Blue Peter" and on "CBBC" as presenters in 2008 and 2009. Potted Potter began its life when they created a five-minute performance for a bookshop to coincide with the launch of the sixth book.

The show is  "recommended for muggles from the age of six to Dumbledore (who is very old indeed)." It is directed by Richard Hurst, designed by Simon Scullion, composed by Phil Innes and produced by Seabright Productions.
