News Prior to Opening, Sandra Bernhard Extends Los Angeles Engagement Actress-singer-comic Sandra Bernhard, who will bring her newest solo show to Los Angeles next month, has already extended her engagement due to ticket demand.

Bernhard's I Love Being Me, Don't You? was originally scheduled to run Aug. 11-14 in the intimate, 240-seat REDCAT space in the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Performances will now continue through Aug. 21.

Bernhard will be backed by a four-piece band, for "a no-holds-barred evening blending outrageous humor, cutting satire and fiercely energetic live performance," according to press notes.

Show times are Aug. 11-13 at 8:30 PM, Aug. 14 at 7 PM, Aug. 17-20 at 8:30 PM and Aug. 21 at 7 PM.

Sandra Bernhard appeared on Broadway in her 1998 one-woman hit I'm Still Here . . . Damn It! after playing five months at Off-Broadway's Westbeth Theatre. In 2006 she starred in Everything Bad & Beautiful at Off-Broadway's Daryl Roth Theatre. On screen she has been seen in "The King of Comedy," "Inside Monkey Zetterland," "Hudson Hawk," "Dinner Rush," "Roseanne," "Ally McBeal," "Chicago Hope" and "Will & Grace." She hosted her own talk show, "The Sandra Bernhard Experience," and has been seen in Showtime's "The L Word." Her books are entitled "Confessions of a Pretty Lady," "Love, Love, and Love" and "May I Kiss You on the Lips, Miss Sandra?"
