Call it a pair of firsts. Broadway’s Priscilla Lopez (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Henry Sweet Henry, Company, Pippin) will perform her first-ever cabaret show on Nov. 17 when she inaugurates the Newsday “Friday Cabaret Series” at Queens Theatre in the Park.

Lopez, who originated the role of Morales in A Chorus Line where she performed “Nothing” and “What I Did for Love,” kicks off the series on the main Stage of Queens Theatre, located in Flushing Meadows Park. Also booked for the Newsday Fridays series are Sam Harris (March 2001), Lee Roy Reams (April) and Donna McKechnie (May).

The Newsday Fridays are aimed at building an audience for the new cafe cabaret space in the theatre, which is funded by a $3.2 million capital grant credited to Queens Borough president Claire Shulman. The new space will be constructed within a few years and Queens’ Theatre producing director Jeffrey Rosenstock said, “The space will be a home for established New York cabaret performers as well as a training ground for new artists.”

Tickets for Priscilla Lopez are $24, $18 for Queens Theatre members, $22 for seniors and $15 for young audiences. For information call (718) 760 0064.
