Noel Coward's Private Lives, starring Lindsay Duncan and Alan Rickman, with Adam Godley and Emma Fielding, has extended its run to March 3, in response to the huge demand for tickets.
Alan Rickman has filming committments, however, so there will be some slight adjustments to the usual schedule of performances.
Howard Davies' production at the Albery is rather darker and more adult than most productions, letting the lines find the laughs rather than flagging them up in advance as usual. This approach is particularly well suited to Rickman's sardonic manner.
