Celebrating the 400th anniversary of Cervantes' "Don Quixote," which is widely regarded as the world's first modern novel, the 8 PM evening will feature the talents of Ben Shenkman and Elizabeth Marvel as well as the previously announced Mario Cantone, Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Daphne Rubin-Vega. "Don Quixote" translator Edith Grossman will introduce the performance, which will also boast a live violin/electronic score by Julie Lyonn Lieberman.

Ben Shenkman was on Broadway earlier this season, playing Jonathan Waxman in the Broadway bow of Donald Margulies' Sight Unseen. The actor received a Tony nomination for his work in Proof and also starred as Louis in the HBO films presentation of "Angels in America."

Elizabeth Marvel recently appeared in Woody Allen's A Second-Hand Memory at the Atlantic Theatre Company. Her Broadway credits include An American Daughter, Taking Sides and The Seagull, and Off-Broadway audiences have seen the actress in Henry V, King Lear, Troilus & Cressida, As You Like It, The Rover, What the Butler Saw, Measure for Measure and Silence, Cunning and Exile.

The "Writers in Performance" series continues April 18 with opera diva Renee Fleming, who will be on hand to discuss her new autobiography, "The Inner Voice: The Making of a Singer." Fleming's tome offers a behind-the-scenes look at the life of an opera star, including the early struggles in her career as well as the pressures of the business.

The series will conclude April 25 with "Kaufman & Co.," an homage to George S. Kaufman, who penned such classics as The Man Who Came to Dinner, You Can't Take It With You, Animal Crackers and The Royal Family. Anne Kaufman Schneider (Kaufman's daughter) and Laurence Maslon will be joined by a group of actors to perform scenes and songs from Kaufman's works. MTC's Stage I is located at 131 West 55th Street.
